In late autumn and early winter, the cold frost spreads across the landscape. The Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau's yellow ginger has reached its optimal harvesting period, with the unique aroma of ginger across the planting bases. Maoge inspection team went into the planting bases and processing workshops, here we go an inspection and purchasing journey.
The inspection team came from Maoge purchasing and quality management departments, made its first stop in the core production area of yellow ginger in southwest Guizhou. Wide fields of ginger came into view, with farmers bending over to turn up the soil and unearth ginger coated in mud, their fresh smell filling the air.
The team visited multiple planting zones to observe the growth and evaluate the quality of the yellow ginger. It was encouraging to find this year's ginger thriving: the ginger were plump and firm, with fine-textured flesh that broke cleanly, releasing a ginger spiciness and sweetness. These characteristics fully met Maoge raw material standard.
At the local ginger washing facility, the team members closely looking at every step of the process: the yellow ginger underwent a 3-stage cleaning procedure-- remove mud, sprinkle, and select, with even the fibrous roots taken away.
The team set clear requirements for the quality control process: after cleaning, pesticide residue testing must be completed, and gingerol content must be verified before processing to ensure every batch of raw materials meets standards. This ensures both nutritional retention and food safety.
During the five-day inspection, the team covered all major production areas of Guizhou's yellow ginger. The great ginger will be shipped to Maoge factories as one of the main ingredients for Maoge pickled ginger, seasonings, condiments, or various of sauces.
